It’s finally great to see some non-PlayBook news going around (not that we aren’t excited for the PlayBook, but you know). BGR had a chance to post up some great hands-on pictures of the upcoming BlackBerry smartphone code-named Monaco and Monza (frequency depending). This new device will be available in both CDMA and GSM radios, […]
On March 31st the FCC was suppose to remove the confidently request for the BlackBerry PlayBook. However when I checked this morning it looks like RIM has requested a short extension on the NDA until launch day: April 19th. Therefore right up until launch day we aren’t going to see the internal and external shots […]
It’s better to be late than never. Sears Canada is now accepting pre-orders for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. If you haven’t already reserved your PlayBook, well Sears is waiting for you. There isn’t any new surprises here. The BlackBerry PlayBook ships on April 19th from Sears, and will be available in the three sizes (16GB, […]
Ever since I saw StarWars back in ’77 I had a fascination with holograms. BlackBerry Cool posted about what Stardust and BBDO, two New York media companies, have done for the carrier MTS using the Storm2. These cases will showcase the BlackBerry at major public venues in Russia, all international airports there, trade events, conferences, […]
Thanks to an article on Mobile Syrup which highlights a post from the forums of MacRumors, iPhone users have something to look forward to soon perhaps. A college and business class attended a conference a Social Media Conference in Toronto and if the rumor holds true, BBM will come to the iPhone April 26th via […]
BlackBerry Messenger v5.0.2 has been in beta for a while in the BlackBerry Beta Zone and is now officially available for download. Keep in mind that there is yet a BlackBerry Messenger v5.0.3 available in the BlackBerry Beta Zone, and if you haven’t signed up yet, you might want to check it out.
The BlackBerry PlayBook is scheduled to launch in roughly 20 days, and we’re betting you will start to see lots of fun PlayBook related news over the next few weeks. This is only one of the great teases you will see leaking out about the PlayBook. The folks at CrackBerry have posted up a […]
It’s not that it’s a necessity for Anti-Virus at this point on a BlackBerry. But NetQin is more than just anti-virus. I’ve been using it since launch and wanted to share with our readers my impressions of it. So what is NetQin and what makes it an app you’d want?
In the last chapter of the ongoing patent battle, a judge had ruled against Kodak in January. But recently the U.S. International Trade Commission stated they would review the judge’s opinion from January. Eastman Kodak is claiming that Apple’s iPhone and RIM’s BlackBerry have violated Kodak’s patent for previewing digital pictures on a smartphone.
LiveProfile is another cross-platform messaging IM client that has been available for the iPhone and the Android devices, but is finally available for the BlackBerry as well. It shares live profiles, pictures, media sharing, status updates, pictures and has reached it’s one millionth user. It’s free, which is nice. I tried it for a few […]
Fixmo Extend is the latest app from Fixmo Inc. I love Fixmo Tools (which just happens to be on sale in the BlackBerry Sync Store for $14.99 $9.99!), but this latest app is pretty neat. What Fixmo Extend does is extend your current BlackBerry device’s existing internet service to your laptop or pc so that […]
RIM has just posted up that tinyHippos will be joining the RIM family. No these aren’t real hippos, its actually a company that focuses on mobile widgets and web developments. I’m not at all familar with the company, but apparently they have a mobile environment emulator called Ripple, which is a multi-platform mobile environment emulator that runs […]
