Starbucks Card Mobile App Now Scans At All Company-Owned Starbucks Locations!

In the U.S. that is. I’ve told you about the Starbucks app, which I really love. It’s fast, easy, and convenient. It makes it really nice if you don’t have your cards on you and would like to pay with your phone. The only drawback was that outside of Washington, Target was the only store scanning the mobile app, for payment, though they do not honor the Rewards Program other than payment.  The options have just become brighter, check it out…

Now all company-operated Starbucks stores in the U.S. can now scan and accept payment from the Starbucks Card Mobile right off your BlackBerry. That’s more than 6,800 stores along with the 1,000 Target locations. That’s around 7, 800 locations. Nice, you can actually take full advantage of the Rewards Program at Starbucks directly.

Here’s how it works. You purchase a Starbucks card/gift card. You register here at Starbucks.com for the Rewards Program. The program offers two tiers.

First you get a Free Birthday Beverage of your choice on your Birthday.

Five stars earned brings you to Green Card Status which means:

  • Free Select Syrups and Milk
  • Free Refill on brewed coffee or tea
  • Free Beverage with whole bean purchase
  • Free Trial Offers

30 plus stars earned will get you to Gold Level Status which gives you:

  • All the green level status benefits
  • Free drink every 15 stars
  • A personalized Starbucks Gold Card
  • Personalized Offers and Coupons

I love the idea of knowing that I am able to use the card at Starbucks locations and use all the benefits I’ve missed out on since I don’t live in Washington. Now let’s take a closer look at what the Starbucks Card Mobile App can do for you.

First you text the word GO to the number 70845. You’ll be texted the link to download. After downloading and installing, run the app and it will have you sign in and put your card that you registered in. It’s that easy. You can also add your credit card for reloading your card, which you can do easily from the app itself. Here are the app allows you to do:

  • Check your balance on your Starbucks card
  • Reload with a major credit card
  • View your transactions
  • Track your Stars
  • See what your Rewards Benefits are
  • Find nearby Starbucks locations

It’s easy to use. When you go to the Starbucks make your order, open your Starbucks Card Mobile App on your BlackBerry, go to mobile payment, your barcode will display, they scan and it’s that fast. It’s an instant payment as fast as that beverage you’re grabbing.

    Same here WVUL with the one box of sugar cereal on your birthday. My birthday cereal was ALWAYS Lucky Charms. I would try and eat the non-marshmallow bits first so I would end up with a bowl of marshmallows and milk. (Yes, I am a bit of a sugar fiend.)
