Let’s take this one with a grain of salt for now. Mobility Insider has just posted up what they claim will be the BlackBerry PlayBook’s pricing at launch. If the information is correct the PlayBook will start at under $400 for the 8GB model, and range in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. The PlayBook is expected to launch early next year, and we can only hope these prices are correct. Pricing is rumored to be:
- 8GB: $399
- 16GB: $499
- 32GB: $599
As we expected, RIM will only be launching the PlayBook in a tether-able version, without carrier support (3G or 4G). This means the device will rely on either Wi-Fi or tethering to your BlackBerry smartphone. So if this information turns out to be correct, how do you feel about the prices?
