BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) Updated 5.0.1.38

It’s update time! RIM has just released a BlackBerry Messenger in the wild. The new BBM is not available in app world as of yet, but you can grab it at this link here or by pointing your BlackBerry browser to blackberry.com/messenger. The update doesn’t have any too major in it just simple updates and minor fixes. If you noticed anything major in the update let us know.

    I use storm 9500.

    Hmm. So I went to download it, and the websites have been removed. Not that it really matters for me. I’m on .32 from the beta. But yea, can’t download right now.

    Yea. Bberry sent out an email to the people who were on the beta I guess. I checked the link again when I was on break at work and it works now.

    DAM THIS ERASED ALL MY CONTACTS LUCKY I HAD A BACK UP ON MY PC. BE CAREFULL

    It won’t lose your contacts if you used the previous versions since 5.0 and if you have it tied to your emails. Make sure you do that, I’ve even seen people carry their bbm from carrier to carrier using the email to register it to. I haven’t seen anyone’s contacts wipe out so long as they do that.

    I HAVE THE AIM ON MA PHONE. BUT I STILL CANT SEE AWAY MESSAGES OR ICONS. IS THAT SUPPOSE TO BE NORMAL???

    This is in reference to BBM, I don’t know much about the aim messenger other than it’s AOL. For any questions on the AIM messenger, you might try going to http://www.blackberry.com/support.

    Same problem with Andrew, I use 9550 and I cannot make text highlight in BBM for copy / cut function.
    Is there anyone know how to fix this ?

    I tried moving both of them up and down to see where the appropriate height was. Neither of them reacted differently. One contninued to have water come out of the holes and the other did not regardless of the height. Is the one with the water coming out defective? If I leave them both alone, will it cause any problems? Thanks for the help.
