Bell launching BlackBerry 6 updates in 2011?!

August 30, 2010 | By | 4 Comments

Seriously? According to an internal document going around Bell, they won’t be launching BlackBerry 6 for other models until early 2011. This means devices like the BlackBerry Bold 9700, Pearl 3G 9100, and Curve 3G 9300 won’t see the BlackBerry 6 updates officially supported for a long time. Let’s hope another carrier launches BlackBerry 6 upgrades within the next few months instead of waiting until next year. So it looks like for Bell customers officially you will only be able to get the new BlackBerry Torch 9800 with BlackBerry 6 (OS 6.0) pre-loaded.
