Twitter For BlackBerry Gets Unleashed Tonight!

It’s been preview and leaked a couple times now, and RIM just let us know that they’re officially unleashing Twitter for BlackBerry to the public tonight! As of 9PM EST you will be able to download the official Twitter app from BlackBerry App World. Apparently the newer version of Twitter for BlackBerry works much better than the early beta, plus brings a couple new features:

•         Push Notifications for Direct Messages
•         Timeline Support
•         Following & Followers
•         Posting, Sending, Deleting, Replying and Re-Tweeting Tweets
•         User/Saved/Keyword/Proximity Search
•         Tweet Photos/Links
•         Trending Topics
•         Seamless integration into core BlackBerry Applications
•         URL Shortening
•         Auto Update

    I really love the integration of the Twitter for BlackBerry app, it works nicely and it’s had some really neat features. I still use both Twitter for BlackBerry and TweetGenius, but I have to admit that I’ve been pretty impressed with Twitter for BlackBerry. If you like the Facebook (when Facebook is working properly) for BlackBerry app and the MySpace version, you’ll love Twitter for BlackBerry.
