Social Beat By iskoot Makes An Appearance For Verizon BlackBerry Customers

I have to thank Josh for this one. Some time back Verizon had released Bing to it’s customers as a service book. Now today it’s Social Beat by iskoot. The app connects you to Facebook, Twitter, Gmail , MySpace, and 50 news, sports, and entertainment feeds. The app is also downloadable if you would like to try it out. I suppose you could say it’s nearly SocialScope meets Viigo and then a bit.

The iskoot site states this:

Get status updates, tweets, posts, emails and IMs, plus the latest from top sites like CNN, ESPN, TMZ, and The Onion. Available on the new BlackBerry Curve 2 8530, plus Verizon’s top handsets like the LG enV and LG Chocolate 3.

If you’re a Verizon customer and don’t see it in your downloads or applications, try doing a battery pull and it should appear. Now it does say for Verizon, but if you are curious you might want to give it a shot and see if it works for you. If it does, give us a thumbs up or down about the app.

I’ve included the user guide here. And for the FAQs and more information, click iskoot here.

The app is very slow at this point, but I’m sure that tune ups and updates are in the midst. I know it takes approx one to three mins to sign into each network, but as with all apps, they have to start somewhere.

I like the idea of the app, but it does need some help. Ran way too slow for me.
