SmrtGuard For BlackBerry Updates To v2.15

We received word that SmrtGuard updated to v2.15 and are urging their customers to please update to the new version now. SmrtGuard is a great protection app for your BlackBerry, so you don’t have to worry. If you are a current customer or are interested, check out what’s new and why you want to upgrade now…

This is what’s new with SmrtGuard:

  1. Improved remote wipe so it dynamically deletes most if not all 3rd party applications (i.e. – Facebook, MySpace, Gmail, and many more) in addition to Password Keeper, the Native Message and Phone applications.
  2. Added password protection to the SmrtGuard application. Users now can set a password from the SmrtGuard -> Options Menu to prevent unauthorized access into the application.
  3. Bug fix – prevent backing up empty data.

SmrtGuard has a lite  free version, and three ways to keep the updated paid version. Monthly subscription of $3.99, Semi-Annual at $22.99, or the annual subscription of $44.99. We have the paid subscriptions of SmrtGuard available in the BlackBerry Sync Store, depending upon which subscription you prefer.

There are two ways to update your SmrtGuard. One is from your BlackBerry.

  1. Go to the SmrtGuard icon
  2. Click on About SmrtGuard menu
  3. Click on “Check for Update”
