Review: Solitaire Buddy Gold for BlackBerry (A Tale of Addiction)
I have a confession to make. My name is Michelle, and I have recently become addicted to playing solitaire on my BlackBerry.
I’ve always enjoyed having a game or two on my BlackBerry for those idle moments when I might need a little entertainment. Last week I downloaded Solitaire Buddy Gold (v4.0.23 by Nickel Buddy, LLC), and promptly forgot I even had it. A few days later I was bored, looking through my downloads folder and saw it there. Figuring I could kill a few minutes playing a couple rounds, I opened it up. Half an hour later I looked up from my BlackBerry and realized I was hooked.
So what makes Solitaire Buddy Gold so fun? Let’s have a look!
First, and probably the most important feature, is that there are 13 games included! Everything from the old standard Klondike to games I had never heard of before like Beetle and Canfield are included. After playing a few of the different games, I realized that you can customize many details in this app, such as the backs of the cards and the background of your play area. It’s always a nice touch to have those options. And with full instructions included in the menu for each game, I found myself quickly picking up the games I hadn’t heard of previously.
The complete details on Solitaire Buddy Gold are as follows:
- Extensive on-device help including rules for each game
- Unlimited Undo/Redo
- Auto moves
- Tracks games played/won
- Restart the same game at any time
- Customize your game
- You choose: card size
- You choose: Automatically move available cards or not
- You choose: Background color
- You choose: Card back design
- You choose: Display/hide game statistics
- Automatically saves game when you exit
- Easy one-click exit from the game
- Custom options for most games
- Works on color Blackberry devices
Solitaire Buddy Gold is available in the BlackBerry Sync Store, and is on sale for $3.99 until February 21st. In my opinion, this game is worth every penny.
Check it out! If you enjoy a good game of Solitaire, you won’t be disappointed.
