Yes, you read correctly! I know there’s Blu-ray fans out there who love their Blu-ray movies, this is great news for you! Thanks to BlackBerry Sites, we know pocket BLU is here. I checked it out, and it’s available for download. I have the description, features, and of course that it’s free.

pocket BLU is the Blu-ray companion to enhance your Blu-ray movie viewing experience. It enables your BlackBerry device to communicate with your Blu-ray to extend your movie viewing experience in ways you never have before.

This is in Beta, features are:

The requirements are:

pocket BLU™ enabled Blu-ray™ discs
BD-Live enabled Blu-ray™ player
pocket BLU™ enabled device
Wi-Fi connection

OS: 4.5, 4.6

The BlackBerry devices:

Bold 9700, Bold 9000, Curve 8900, 8820, Curve 8520, Curve 8350i, Curve 8320, Pearl Flip 8220

This is great, though it looks like I’m out of the loop since I have a Tour and it’s not WiFi enabled. But if you have a Blu-ray, and a device that works with pocket BLU, and you decide to download it, let us know what you think.
