Could The Power Of Your Blu-ray Be Coming To Your Pocket Or BlackBerry Soon?
I’m really excited over this one. According to BlackBerrySites.com, tomorrow pocket BLU will be available for BlackBerry smartphones. pocket BLU is by Deluxe Digital Studios, but BlackBerrySites noted that they received news from Universal Studios Home Entertainment about the pocket BLU and the app will be released and available for select BlackBerry devices and coinciding with availability of Couples Retreat.
pocket BLU allows your BlackBerry to communicate directly with your Blu-ray player to extend your movie viewing experience Iin ways never before possible. It connects seamlessly over a WiFi network, I’m wondering if this only applies to BlackBerry devices that are WiFi enabled. The app is already available for the iPhone and iTouch, and coming to BlackBerry, Android, and Nokia next. The app is a free download.
Advanced features it’s offering are:
- Advanced Remote Control: A sleek, elegant new way to operate your Blu-ray™ player. Users can navigate through menus, playback and BD-Live™ functions with ease.
- Video Timeline: Users can easily bring up the video timeline, allowing them to instantly access any point in the movie.
- Mobile-To-Go: Users can unlock a selection of bonus content with their Blu-ray™ discs to save to their device or to stream from anywhere there’s a Wi-Fi network, enabling them to enjoy exclusive content on the go, anytime, anywhere.
- Browse Titles: Users will have access to a complete list of pocket BLU™-enabled titles available and coming to Blu-ray™ Hi-Def. They can view free previews and see what additional content is available to unlock on their device.
- Keyboard: Enter data into a Blu-ray player with your device’s easy and intuitive keyboard that will facilitate such Blu-ray™ features as chatting with friends and sending messages.
