v-moda has some interesting headsets, and I have to admit, look just as stylish as Bose do. I have been using this headset for a few weeks now, and I have to admit, they’re not only comfortable and stylish, they’re also very impressive. I’m here to share the details.
When the package arrived, I was very excited to try these on. The only thing I knew about this headset prior to opening my package is the description that is in the BlackBerry Sync Store, and are available for $99.95. The description is as follows:
I was impressed with the packaging as well. The top of the package reads that it’s dual campability for iphone and the phones. There are three sizes of fittings: small, medium and large and they’re made to suit an active lifestyle. The style is nero.
The back of the package reads that they are a noise-isolating hi-definition earphones/headset and that they are dual capability for iPhone, iPod, and MP3, CD/DVD, and computers.

The headset is nice, and as I opened the box, I like the little black leather pouch it comes with, it has the type of closure that you hold in your hand and push the sides to open. Inside sat the silicone fittings and there are two colors: clear and black so you can wear them in style. And three sizes in each. It’s nice to know they can be customized.
The cord is very nice too. I’ll start with the plug, it fits perfect and the gold plating is a nice touch. As you can see by the pics it has a y shape connector. The cord is fabric, and this is the first cord I’ve had that’s a fabric type. I like this as it makes it less tangle prone, and more durable to the normal wear than the typical cords I’ve used. The cord isn’t heavy at all, and leads up to the silver cone connector, above that sits a plastic clip that’s a little shorter and wider than others I’ve used on headsets, which leads to convenience as the cord won’t hang and allows you the mobility to move. I liked that it was shorter and wider because it’s easier to clip on and not have it snap off easily or get in the way as others have done.
Approximately six inches from the connector sits the call control button/microphone. It’s easy to find and hold, and push the button to answer or hang up on your call and, of course, pause your song. The microphone is situated perfectly where your voice can be heard without being muffled or distorted. Finally we reach the headphone driver housings. The housings are black with a silver back. There sits an etched silver-chrome band around each which is not only very stylish, but also makes it very easy to hold the ear piece and place it in your ear and to remove them. At the placement of the silicone fittings are the L and R, so you can see where they go, but are placed discreetly.
So far for style and looks, the product has a five out of five. I have no cons at this point.
Now for the tests. I have used them with phone calls, the noise isolation worked well, and though you could hear the background noise, all was very clear. Most importantly, I could hear the caller very clear. I had no issues with phone calls, and really liked the fact that clarity was great.
I used the headset with Pandora and my own music. Again, music was very clear. I do have a recommendation. These are very clear and loud, and if you are going from a lesser quality headset, be prepared to turn the volume down. The tones and bass came out very well, music sounded great. The most important thing to do is to be sure and find the fittings that fit your ear perfect, so that you can experience the headset at how it should be with perfect comfort and noise-isolation. Once you have customized your fittings it will work great. They offer a truly great stereo experience with the effects of the music coming through in clarity.
For your value and quality, these headphones are extremely worth it.
Pros: Stylish, convenient, cord is fabric and tangle resistant, ear pieces have the etched belts for holding and placing them back in, sound quality is of high quality, clear phone calls, easy to answer and pause, the case is nice and opens easily, holds both the extra silicone fittings and the headset, extra pieces, two colors of fittings, loud and clear music.
Cons: I couldn’t find a con except that maybe it could come in another color, though black and silver are my favorites for accessories, it goes with everything.
