Wind Mobile launches in Canada! Brings Bold 9700, and first Prepaid BlackBerry Options

Today was a pretty huge day for the Canadian mobile phone industry. The first real competition, Wind Mobile has launched in Toronto and Calgary. Today Wind introduced the BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone for both post-paid and prepaid customers. The Bold can be purchased contract free for $450 CAD, for either post-paid or prepaid service. Wind Mobile features no “stupid fees” such as activation fees, system access fees, 911 fees, or even long distance fees when calling from a Wind Home Zone. Wind also is the first to offer Unlimited nationwide calling from your Wind Home Zone, as well truly unlimited data plans for both smartphones, and internet sticks.
