MMMOOO always has impressive apps that are useful or colorful. This is a newer version of Ever Light, and it has a set of features for those who like having a flashlight on their phone, so you’ll never be without a flash light. Wait till you see what it has to offer.
Ever Light was an app I found useful from time to time, I’m not good at finding something in my purse at night, or fumbling with the key to open my car. It also made a great conversation piece. So this is Ever Light II. In the description in the BlackBerry Sync App Store it states:
Ever Light II enables you use Flashlight, LED Light, Background Light according to your multi-usage in a seamlessly planned tool pack. The features include:
1. Flashlight, LED Light, Background Light & SOS Light as optional
2. You can check Battery level and temperature information under Option menu
3. LITE & GREEN, 10K in size, occupy very little memory
I downloaded and installed Ever Light II on my BlackBerry 9630 Tour. MMMOOO’s downloads are always zip files. You install them by extracting or unzipping the files after saving them on your pc, then loading them through the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
The file installed easily, and where Ever Light was a light bulb, this icon is little black ball with a little yellow glow within. If you click on it, it asks you to register. Then after the app is active, when you click on it, it goes right to a white screen. The LED also lights up with a white/light blue glow. This is light enough for finding the key hole, and small feats of this nature. Clicking the options button brings up the options of FlashLight, LedLight, SOSLight, Setting, Help, and Close.
FlashLight is an interesting option. It brings up the video camera, allowing you to take videos. But that’s not all. Clicking on the space bar turns a bright light on which is real flashlight quality and extends beyond a few inches. You can also video tape in the dark using this FlashLight feature. It could be great when you’re out with friends, out in scenic parks at night, or out in the wild in nature.
LedLight starts with a white screen and soft blue/white led. Move your trackball to the right and the screen and led turn red. Move to the right further and it turns yellow and the led light as well. Move again and the screen and led turn green. Move again to the right and it turns a light blue with accompanying led. If you go back to the white screen and move the trackball to the left, the screen turns black and the led turns off. More to the left and the screen and led turn purple. Moving further left it turns dark blue. Further left is the light blue.
The SOSLight option and the screen and led flash black and white. Settings brings up the Start Mode of which you can choose LED Mode or Flash Mode. It shows the Battery Level and also the Battery Temperature. Nice features to keep track of.
Help lets you know what the app can do and short cuts and tips to use the app. Over all it’s really useful, soft on the eyes, and if you love having the flashlight feature on your phone, this is a great and handy app to have. It does what the description states, and I can tell you that MMMOOO is very big on customer service. I like that in having an app, because it lets me feel I have real support. Here’s another tip I really like, you can set the app to open as one of your short cut side keys, so when you’re in a hurry for the flashlight, you can hit the side button and it will go right into the FlashLight mode.
So the difference between Ever Light and Ever Light II? Well Ever Light has the “mirror” function where you can darken the screen and “see” yourself. Ever Light also has the lights where it has the designs and the lights for a soft “light show”. Other than that, Ever Light II has the same capabilities and has the stronger flashlight function, the video integrated function, and the ability to check the battery life and temperature.
Ever Light II is available in the BlackBerry Sync Store and sells for only $3.99. With the features and what it states, it’s right on, For usefulness, I’d say that’s right on as well. And for customer service, it’s A+. While I miss a few of the other features, they weren’t necessarily a part of the app as far as being useful.
