Just keep in mind the big 4 USA carriers in the contract you signed ask consider doing this without a “tethering plan” to be TOS violation. So be careful…
From what I understand, Tetherberry uses data a different way than standard tethering, making it harder for the carrier to detect. I don’t think it will be an issue but stranger things have happened.

This is really hard for us to answer. Each carrier has unique contracts with each individual. Our phone uses your normal Blackberry data plan. Although most carriers say they are offering you a unlimited plan there are usually 5 GB caps. Please review your carrier’s contract and review our Terms of Service.
If you buy this your just lazy and don’t want to read how to setup your berry to be a modem for your laptop. 25 bucks is still a lot for a simple search and setup for your providers settings.
If you call your provider they will be happy to explain to you the detail of setting up your berry for tethering. They will also explain your plan to you and if any charges will flow your way for doing so.
I called verizon and they told me that it would an additional $45 on top of my $45 for unlimited data plan. That’s more than I can afford. Have anyone use tetherberry? Will I get charge? Let me know please! Thanks…
IM USING TETHERBERRY FROM MY LAPTOP RIGHT NOW….ITS AWESOME!!! ITS NOT ABOUT BEING LAZY LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT WAY TO SET UP YOUR PHONE AS A MODEM, I HAVE SPENT HOURS SEARCHING AND IT DIDNT WORK. ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY, YOUR JUST PAYING FOR IT ONCE.
