BlackBerry Curve 8520 heading to Vodafone soon too!

vodafone8520bsmall[1]

T-Mobile is releasing the Curve 8520 early next month, and apparently Vodafone will be releasing it soon as well. The 8520 is a more updated addition to the Curve series, and with the optical trackpad, it’s certainly a very comfortable one. The above add states: “Priceless business tool at an affordable price”.

The phone may not be top of the line as the Storm or the Tour, but nonetheless is a refreshing change and very stylish compared to the Curve series. And the optical trackball is a very nice welcome. There’s also the 8530 (Aries) waiting to be released someday too. So we’re curious….what do you think of the trackball becoming an optical trackball?

Oh, About Last Night…How Bout Texts From Last Night?

tfln[1]

There’s a free fun app available for the BlackBerry that allows you to read the infamous texts from the website. If you like FML, you will find this to be entertaining and funny, and of course it’s NSFW. Some of it is downright raw. The website has the quote “Remember the texts you sent from last night? We do”.

From the app, you can copy, open in the browser, or pick which texts you read by the area code. The app is named TFLNBerry and you can find it in the BlackBerry Sync Store for FREE.

RIM’s gives BlackBerry.com a Facelift…

blackberry-homepage09

I went on to BlackBerry.com this morning to get my hands on a fresh copy of Desktop Manager, only to see that RIM has re-freshed the sites design. The new design is still very fresh and clean, with a dark black header. See the picture above or visit BlackBerry.com and check it out…

BlackBerry Thunder shows up in Verizon Inventory… Again?!

vzw-thunder-1

It look as though another screen shot of Verizon’s system has surfaced, this time it’s a name we haven’t heard in a while. It seems that the BlackBerry Thunder name might be making a return internally. Some sources think it may be a place holder for the upcoming BlackBerry 9950 (Storm 2). Is that in fact what it is? What do you think? Maybe it is a device we haven’t even heard of yet. The possibilities are endless, we can only hope more information is soon to follow.

TweetCaster by Handmark Now Available – Free Download!

bb-bold-tweetcaster-2

The folks at Handmark messaged me yesterday to share some news. Handmark has just introduced their very own Twitter application for BlackBerry called TweetCaster. TweetCaster is much like other Twitter apps on the market, it allows you to switch between multiple twitter accounts, shortens URL’s, share pictures, easy @replying, GPS to locate friends near by, and get real time trending topics.

To download TweetCaster you will need to follow this link, and login with your Twitter username and password. The app is free but you need to send a tweet to download it.

We’re going to give this app a test out and see how it stacks up to other Twitter apps. Personally I’ve been rocking Tweet Genius for the past few months and have been very happy… I’ll be curious to see how TweetCaster stacks up. If you have tried out TweetCaster let us know what you think!
