OS Alert: BlackBerry Storm 9500 OS 4.7.0.148 Officially Released!

Vodafone Australia & Fiji have just released a new official OS for the Storm 9500. The version is 4.7.0.148 which is the same version released by Verizon last week for their 9530. This OS (.148) is said to be one of the most stable on the market and possibly the late in the builds that RIM will be releasing. Next up OS 5.0! Anyway if you would like to install this update on your Storm 9500 (GSM only) download the file at the link below and remove the vendor.xml file. Enjoy!

    I have .122 and installed the .148. When I select .148 to install, the message I get is ‘no software upgrade is required…’ It won’t even allow a downgrade to .078 which is also listed. How do you get around that?

    if you r facing any problem fr installing the version 4.7.0.148 then install it by loader.exe goto-> run and open the loader.exe file from C:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\Loader.exe

    then connect the strom device and press next ,next it will show you updated os and the press next button and wait for a whille and after completition restart device and check the new os in about under options..
