No Facebook 1.6 today… maybe next month.
Looks like the anticipated launch of Facebook v. 1.6 might be a little delayed. We just received a tip that RIM has delayed the launch to fix up some issues. Hopefully this time RIM won’t launch a broken version like they did with 1.5. We aren’t too sure on a release date for the new version just yet, but its expected sometime next month. Stay tuned for more details.

I’m very disappointed. Why even say anything if you don’t keep your promise… Maybe i sound like a little kid but… Thats just not cool.

Yea…i agree with everyone else…i think that is very silly of them to tell everyone that it is coming out and to flake like this…bogus
Why am I not surprised by this?
RIM never released a date for 1.6. It was all rumored, it was expected to be released today. If you check Official blackberry sites, there is no mentioned date for the new facebook app.
Kudos to RIM for doing the prudent thing and not launching a buggy product (like 1.5, which deleted all my alert profile settings on installation). I thought 1.5 was a minor update in terms of mobile access to Facebook, although the messaging integration is nice. I’m looking forward to having more of Facebook on my BlackBerry soon, and I’m willing to wait a couple more weeks if it means I don’t have to deal with issues and download multiple bug fixes.
Save your kudos until it arrives, could be the same old thing as before.
