BlackBerry App World set to launch on April 1st? (no joke!)

According to BusinessWeek the latest rumor on the street is that RIM’s co-CEO Mike Lazaridis will take stage at CTIA on April 1st and officially announce the launch of BlackBerry App World, which will offer consumers the ability to purchase tons of applications for their BlackBerry. This will allow RIM to go head to head with Apple’s App Store.

Prices for the BlackBerry App World will start at free then go to $2.99 USD all the way to $9.99 USD. Is anyone here excited to get App World up and running on their BlackBerry?

    There’s another app i think people should be excited about- I just got it on my BB, it’s called iHeartRadio. i heard about it on facebook — http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/pages/iHeartRadio/55354819171?ref=ts i thought other BB owners would be interested, the app has hundreds of stations free. Def a really cool thing.
