Sprint launches OS 4.5 for BlackBerry Pearl 8130 & Curve 8330

Sprint has just launched the OS 4.5 upgrade for the BlackBerry Pearl 8130 and Curve 8330. They launched OS 4.5.0.131 for both models, however they skipped OS 4.5 for the 8830 World Edition. Keep in mind you don’t need to have a Sprint model to install this OS on your 8130 or 8330 just remember to delete the vendor file. For details on how to install it click here.
Also we should add according to BGR, this OS upgrade for Sprint users enables MMS picture and video messaging!

Its about time! Mms is finally here and I can media mail more than just other BB users. I was with TMobile last year and always had mms capabilities and was beyond disappointed to learn Sprint was working on it. How long have they been saying that for? Nice bonus of docs to go. Sprint, you may have finally redeemed yourselves!
The new OS is great with the MMS especially, but for some reason i cant send songs thru bluetooth anymore for some reason.
Everytime I try to download the software I can never get past my info part because the country or state options never load & I can’t continue the download. I’ve tried it many times different days more than once & it won’t work! Anyone else have that problem?
Or any suggestions?

YOU CANNOT DOWNLOAD FROM YOUR PHONE. YOU HAVE TO DOWNLOAD TO A PC AND THEN TETHER THE SOFTWARE TO YOUR PC AND TRANSFER.

Yea! It worked for me!
I was a little worried that I would screw up my phone, but I successfully installed the new OS(4.5) to my phone. Now my backlight is slow to turn on. Also switching between screens hangs a bit. Two problems I can deal with as long as it doesn’t become worse.
My major complaint is I’m not able to view certain videos post OS upgrade. There were sites that I was able to view videos on and now I get an error when loading. The message reads “The media being played is of an unsupported format.” I’ve never recieved that before and don’t know how to fix it. What would make my vedio player not work now when it did before? I can still view mobile youtube stuff, but video from some other sites will not work now.
Any recommendations?
Is anyone else having problems downloading the software? Everytime I download it I get half way down and then it say unable to read. I think its cuz I am downloading through Firefox, but IE won’t connect so I don’t know what to do. I guess i’ll try IE one more time and see what happens.
