Some Rogers stores get BlackBerry Curve 8900

Some lucky people got their hands on Rogers’ new BlackBerry Curve 8900 from select stores. Apparently some Rogers stores actually received their stock early. This new Curve features Quadband GSM, EDGE, Wi-Fi, 3.2 megapixel camera and OS 4.6. All that for only $179 with three year term. So anyone else get their hands on a Rogers Curve 8900?

Vodafone BlackBerry Storm OS 4.7.0.78 now available!

Good news for Vodafone BlackBerry Storm owners! Vodafone has officially released their first OS upgrade for the Storm. The new version OS 4.7.0.78 is a huge improvement over the version that shipped with the device. To download the update simply head over to Vodafone’s site and install the software. Next up should be Verizon’s OS update possibly later on today?

Bell releases Storm OS 4.7.0.76? but forgets to release device.

I know your probably thinking how and why? but apparently earlier today RIM released Bell’s version of OS 4.7.0.76 for the BlackBerry Storm by accident. This is great news thought as the OS version is higher than Verizon’s current OS. At the time of this post it seems that RIM has removed the link but we’ve got pics any with any luck an official release is just around the corner…

Bell’s BlackBerry Storm launches December 15th

Final word has arrived that Bell will be launching the BlackBerry Storm on December 15, 2008. Apparently Bell wants to keep a tight race with TELUS and has printed several price cards in case they decide to drop the price at any time. Recently TELUS annoucned their BlackBerry Storm would sell for $249 with three year contract or $599 without. Bell has price cards set at $199, $249 or $299 with contract and $699 without. So anyways look like a solid release date is in place.

BlackBerry Storm Screen Scratch Test

I don’t know many people with a BlackBerry Storm who are willing to take a sharp object to their screen. However one brave guy did just that. He has posted a video on youtube showing a receipt puncher, sharp knife and keys scratching at the touch screen. You would be surprised but the screen is very similar to the iPhone when it comes to screen resistance.

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video
