What about BlackBerry Niagara?

September 25, 2008 | By | 3 Comments

Anyone remember the BlackBerry Niagara? It was suppose to be following “Javelin” as a CDMA verison for Verizon for sometime next year. My question is what ever happened to this device? It seems with all the Storm, Javelin and Pearl Flip news lately this one may have slipped under the radar.

In case you don’t remember. Boy Genius cracked news about this device codenamed “Niagara” which if everything follows it will end up part of the Curve series as well. It’s supposedly going to feature:

    * “Large screen family”
    * QWERTY keyboard
    * 480×360 LCD
    * EV-DO Rev. A
    * aGPS
    * 3.2 megapixel camera
    * 4.7 OS platform
    * BES 5.0 support (HTML email, etc)
    * Qualcomm MSM7600 processor
