US Cellular releases 4.5.0.66 for 8330 and 8130

US Cellular is the first carrier in the United States to launch OS 4.5 for the CDMA Curve 8330 and Pearl 8130. They have launched OS 4.5.0.66 for both units and its now available for download on USC’s BlackBerry download page. Keep in mind you don’t have to have a USC BlackBerry you can find details on how to install it here.

.66 was already released for some other vendor and then it was pulled. I’m now running .77 (which was supposed to improve the laggy call answer situation from .66 but really didn’t help anything except html email seems to be working better with .77)

Thanks “That video guy”, i upgraded to .77 last week, with no issuse, and actually like RIM’s html email, better than empower’s

I guess RIM pulled these, as they do not appear at the linked site. Desktop Manager 4.5 yes, but no device 4.5 OS’s.

Yeah for whatever reason this download was pulled from the US Cellular/Blackberry download site. I was able to download this official version before it was removed, and i have it available on my site:
