Update your BlackBerry OS over the web!

September 23rd, 2008 | 3 Comments | Posted in BlackBerry, Blackberry OS, Downloads, RIM

A new feature that RIM has introduced today is BlackBerry operating system upgrades via BlackBerry.com/upgrades. You will be able to update your OS with the latest version provided by your carrier. So for any carriers that currently support OS 4.5 you will be able to get the latest version. This new software detects available updates by your device PIN (check whats available here).

Check out the latest OS upgrades at BlackBerry.com/upgrades >>

This is great! Just curious, anyone heard anything from Telus about when they are planning on releasing their own branded version of OS 4.5 for the Curve 8330? Thanks, Russell.

I am not getting this at all…..

    I downlaoded 4.3… didnt work…
    4.5 from rogers…
I took the advice from many sites and deleted the vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

Opened it..plugged USB in just as it said..
And when that happens, all I seem to be getting is a “no applications configured for sychronization” message……. soooo lost :(!!!!

I am trying to update it as my phone keeps on shutting off/on when i make/receive calls and its super frustrating…

model is a curve 8320 with wifi.. t-mobile, unlocked, being used on Fido network.
