Silence your BlackBerry Camera Shutter (Free Download)

Ever seen something so funny that you wish you snap a picture of it without anyone knowing? Well I was browsing the forums over at Pinstack and came across this. Its now possible to kill the shutter sound with an application called Peek A Boo from BerryCoder. One of the best parts about this software is its free! It will work with any camera packing BlackBerry with OS 4.2 or higher (except it may not be compatible with 8×30 CDMA devices or Curve 8320). To use the software all you have to do is set Peek A Boo to one of your devices convenience keys.

    After using it for a while I get the message that my trial is up.

    Downloaded it and set it to a convience key. Anytime I try to open it I get Application terminated: Peek A Boo has been denied the “Keystroke Injection” permission. I went in to options and set Keystroke Injection to Allow and than it would just take pictures non stop?? Any help? thanks!

    Thank you so much whoever created this app. Works on the BlackBerry Pearl Flip. To download this app email the link to your blackberry. Open and download from you BB. It will be stored onto the Downloads folder. If you open the app from the Download folder you will get an error, but you will still be able to take pictures without the shutter sound. Just click on the camera button that is assigned on your BB and the app will silence the shutter sound there as well. Great app.

    This DOESN’T Mute the shutter, just takes the 4 pictures in a row.

    Adds a menu item on your camera so that you can mute/unmute any time you want.
