Thats right folks! BlackBerry Media Sync is now available for download. This means anyone with a BlackBerry Pearl, Curve, 8800 or Bold can sync their iTunes library with their BlackBerry via iTunes software. Unfortunately for now the software is only available for Windows and not OS X. You can sync your library with DRM-free songs, however songs purchase with DRM won’t be transferable.

A2DP stereo Bluetooth will come to Pearl 8100?

A2DP on Pearl 8100Kevin over at CrackBerry has discovered by upgrading the original BlackBerry Pearl 8100 to OS 4.3.1, you get access to stereo Bluetooth (A2DP) on the device. He previously discovered that this upgrade on a Curve would enable video recording. Unfortunately OS 4.3.1 isn't available yet for the Pearl as it's still in beta.

He ended up pairing the Pearl 8100 with a pair of Motorola S9 stereo Bluetooth headphones and BluAnt Sonic Portable speakers. So hopefully we will see this new software upgrade come sometime soon.

RIM will announce 4/5 new BlackBerry devices in 2008

RIM logo

As Blackberry devices grow more and more popular RIM finds itself needing to keep up with the latest consumer needs. Well according to an interview with RIM's V.P. of Consumer Accounts they will be announcing at least four or five new models in 2008.

Competitors cannot make up overnight for the years of engineering and refinement that have gone into the Blackberry solution and devices.

The Blackberry Pearl represented almost 55 per cent of RIM’s total shipments in the first quarter of 2007 and with Pearl 8120 (dubbed as Pearl 2) our commitment to have devices that are beautiful and rich in multimedia applications continues.

RIM recently shipped its 20 millionth Blackberry smart phone and the devices are ranked number one in the global PDA space with 18 per cent market share according to third party research.

We will also announce another 4-5 models in 2008 and all of them would be packed with consumer-friendly applications and design.

While of course it's too early to know exactly what RIM has instore you can beat that at least one will be a CDMA version of their popular Curve 8300 series and maybe even a iPhone like device as we talked about a few months ago.

Thanks, RIMarkable
